Job Title: Shipping and Receiving SpecialistJob Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing and organizing distribution center transfers and stock orders. You will be responsible for ensuring that all printed orders from the sales department are accurately organized and shipped. Your role will involve operating forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, processing orders in the Warehouse Management System, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ship units to customers and manage distribution center transfers and stock orders.
  • Organize and double-check printed orders from the sales department for accuracy.
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift and by hand.
  • Process all orders in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Communicate backorders to the warehouse lead or supervisor as necessary.
  • Perform daily cycle counts on components and log them into the inventory management system.
  • Enter daily inventory and tag purchased units.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse space.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties such as stocking shelves, kitting, and maintaining general cleanliness.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
  • 1 year of forklift experience.
  • 1 year of experience with a warehouse management system.
  • Basic computer skills including shipping software and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of inventory and inventory control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with warehouse inventory is a plus.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and small electric hoists.
  • Preparedness to work in various weather conditions.

Work Environment

The work environment is not climate-controlled. Regular hours are from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime requiring early starts or late finishes. Be prepared to occasionally work outdoors in inclement weather due to outside storage access.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
