Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits skilled School Psychologists passionate about making a difference in the lives of K-12 students. This full-time, contract position runs from mid-August 2026 through late May 2027, offering the chance to positively impact learners across all grade levels. The scope of work is diverse and meaningful, including testing, evaluations, thorough report writing, and collaborating closely with both school staff and families. Providing input during IEP meetings and supporting the educational journey for students with unique needs will be central to your role.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Montana School Psychologist Certification (required)
- Demonstrated success working with K-12 populations, including conducting assessments and writing detailed reports
- Experience facilitating or contributing to IEP meetings
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and parents
- Ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a dynamic school environment
Typical responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students across all grade levels
- Preparing comprehensive evaluation reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consulting regularly with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success
- Participating in problem-solving meetings and delivering expert recommendations for interventions and supports
