Make a significant impact in the lives of students as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst covering a maternity leave assignment in the Hartford, CT area and neighboring communities. This contract opportunity begins in early September and concludes in early January, offering the chance to work part-time, averaging 20 hours per week. You will serve across three closely situated sites with secondary-age students, supporting middle schoolers, high schoolers, and a small offsite program.

Your expertise in behavior analysis will help foster a positive and supportive educational environment across varied settings. Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to enhance students’ functional skills and promote academic achievement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active BCBA Certification required
  • Previous experience working in school settings with secondary students highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple locations efficiently and adapt to different site cultures
  • Solid understanding of data collection, analysis, and program development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized behavioral intervention plans for students at each site
  • Provide direct support to school teams through consultation, training, and coaching
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure ongoing improvements
  • Advocate for evidence-based practices and foster a culture of positive behavioral support
  • Communicate regularly with staff and families to coordinate care and deliver progress updates
