What You'll Treat

You'll work with a diverse inpatient population including:

  • Orthopedic patients
  • Neurological conditions
  • Critical care patients
  • General medical patients
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation
  • Patients recovering from illness or injury
What You'll Do

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll help hospitalized patients safely regain mobility, improve function, and prepare for discharge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, gait training, balance, and therapeutic exercise
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and safe mobility techniques
  • Document care using EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented patient care environment

QualificationsRequired
  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Maryland PTA license (or eligibility)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
Preferred
  • One year of acute care experience
  • New graduates with strong acute care clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with EMR documentation
