American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a CA license and at least 2 years of cath lab experience for a 13-week acute care assignment.
Details\n- \n
- Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of an acute care hospital \n
- Case volume varies from 0 to 5-6 cases per day \n
- Cath Lab Techs handle scrubbing duties while RNs circulate \n
- Uses Cerner, Sensis, and Merge charting/imaging systems \n
- GE equipment used in the lab \n
- Schedule consists of (4) 10-hour day shifts, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday, 9:30a-8p \n
- Candidates must be flexible for cases starting earlier or later than scheduled \n
- Possible on-call responsibilities \n
- STEMI cases are transferred to a nearby facility in Turlock, CA \n

- Active CA RN license required \n
- BLS and ACLS certifications required \n
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required \n
- Experience with PCIs, peripherals, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filters required \n
- Must be experienced enough to help train new nurses \n
- Knowledge of balloon pumps required \n
- STEMI experience is a plus \n
- BSN not required for this position \n
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration \n
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility \n

- Circulate during cath lab procedures including PCIs, diagnostic caths, and peripheral interventions \n
- Assist in training new nurses on the unit \n
- Facility currently operates 1 cath lab with plans to expand to 2 in the future \n
- MyJourney training modules will be assigned during orientation \n
- 12 hours of orientation provided \n
