What You'll Treat

You'll work with a diverse inpatient population including:

• Orthopedic patients
• Neurological conditions
• Behavioral health patients
• Critical care patients
• General medical patients
• Post-surgical rehabilitation

What You'll Do

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll help patients regain independence and safely return to daily activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy treatments under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, strengthening, and functional rehabilitation
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies
• Document care using EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals
• Maintain clinical, departmental, and regulatory standards
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

QualificationsRequired

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Maryland COTA license (or eligibility)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred

• One year of acute care or skilled nursing experience
• New graduates with strong acute care clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
• Experience with EMR documentation
