Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assess, triage, and manage patients across all ESI levels (1–5), including stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis presentations, serving patients from neonates to elderly \n
- Perform and assist with a full range of clinical skills including peripheral IV placement, NG/OG tube insertion, foley catheterization, wound care, splinting/OCL application, and assistance with arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement \n
- Maintain patient ratios of 4–5:1 with an average ESI level 3 acuity, functioning within a team-oriented, direct-to-bed model \n
- Ensure accurate and compliant completion of EMTALA documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines \n
- Board and monitor psychiatric patients in the ED pending placement; on nights and weekends, participate in calls to facilitate psych patient placement \n
- Float to other departments as needed within the established rotation shared by agency and permanent staff \n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license \n
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience \n
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience \n
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications \n
- Proficiency with triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, and splint/OCL application \n
- Familiarity with EMR system MEDHOST EDIS and medication dispensing via Omnicell \n

- Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement \n
- Prior experience as a preceptor or in a charge nurse role \n
- Willingness to eventually assist with precepting staff as needed \n
- \n
- Work within a high-acuity, Level III Trauma Center that is also designated as an ACC Chest Pain/STEMI Center and a Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center \n
