MRI Technologist II

Schedule / Job Type\nContract | Nights | 5x8-Hour Shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment, computer, and image management systems to perform MRI exams across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings, including trauma and ICU support. \n
- Prepare and position patients, select anatomic and technical parameters, and acquire cross-sectional images of designated body areas. \n
- Perform contrast injections under the direct supervision of the radiologist or designated physician. \n
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and accurate patient data/history to PACS. \n
- Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to MRI examinations. \n
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms. \n

- High School Diploma or GED, plus graduation from an accredited Radiology program. \n
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire in the State of Pennsylvania. \n
- One of the following credentials required: RT (Registered Technologist – Radiology, ARRT) or MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging, ARRT) upon hire, or ARMRIT (Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist) within 1 year of hire. \n
- Valid state license or certification required at time of submission. \n
- Ability to handle confidential patient, family, and clinical information with discretion and ethical judgment. \n
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including technical data interpretation. \n

- Knowledge of insurance benefit and eligibility websites. \n
- Familiarity with medical insurance terminology. \n
- \n
- Work in a full-service hospital environment providing care to a diverse, high-acuity patient population including emergency, inpatient, outpatient, trauma, and ICU cases. \n
- Gain experience supporting a broad range of patient age groups from neonates through geriatric populations in a dynamic radiology setting. \n
