American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience.

    \n
  • Float pool role within a hospital setting, floating to various Med/Surg units as needed
  • \n
  • May float to inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00PM - 7:30AM
  • \n
  • 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • \n
  • Varied weekend and holiday shift requirements
  • \n
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • \n
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • \n
  • Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
  • \n
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • \n
  • Epic charting experience required
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations
  • \n
  • Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
  • \n
  • Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
  • \n
  • May precept staff from various units as needed
  • \n
  • Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed
  • \n
  • Reports and corrects safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
  • \n
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • \n
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • \n
  • Requires a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning to this health system
  • \n
