American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB Inpatient position requiring an active Illinois RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.

- Hospital-based OB Services unit providing inpatient labor and delivery care \n
- 12-week contract assignment on night shift, 1900-0730, 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts \n
- Minimum of 5 Friday or Saturday nightshifts required per 6-week schedule period \n
- Must also self-schedule 2 Sunday nightshifts per 6-week schedule period \n
- Holiday coverage required as needed for federal holidays \n
- No floating requirements for this position \n
- Uses EPIC for EMR charting \n

- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) \n
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) \n
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association) \n
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience \n
- ASN required, BSN preferred \n
- EPIC charting experience required \n
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required \n
- \n
- Provide direct patient care to OB and infant patients including assessments, care planning, and medication administration per physician orders \n
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs \n
- Document all nursing care thoroughly in the EMR to ensure continuity of care across the healthcare team \n
- Modify care plans based on ongoing patient evaluation \n
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment focused on professional development \n
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position \n
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract \n
- Contingent workers may not work continuously at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service or conversion to permanent staff \n
