Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed cardiovascular ICU setting with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity \n
- Titrate vesicant medications and manage pressors, sedation, and paralytics for critically ill cardiovascular patients \n
- Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, telemetry, IABP, CRRT, Impella, Baxter IV pumps, and hypothermia devices \n
- Perform telemetry interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and PA catheter setup and interpretation \n
- Assist with or support unit procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis \n
- Document all patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records; float to other areas of the facility per traveler float policy \n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license \n
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required \n
- Proficiency in titration of vesicant medications and familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics \n
- Experience with mechanical ventilators and tracheostomy care \n
- Competency in telemetry interpretation and hemodynamic monitoring including PA catheter setup and interpretation \n
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system \n

- Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT \n
- Familiarity with transvenous pacing, TEE, and chest tube maintenance \n
- CCRN certification or equivalent advanced critical care certification \n
- \n
- Work in a high-acuity cardiovascular ICU environment utilizing cutting-edge technology and advanced critical care equipment \n
- Gain valuable experience in a fast-paced unit performing a wide range of complex cardiovascular procedures and interventions \n
