American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Illinois RN licensure and Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience.
Details\n- \n
- Work in the Orthopedic unit of a Level 1 Trauma hospital \n
- Utilizes Epic charting system \n
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM \n
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n
- Required to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period \n
- Rotating holiday coverage required \n
- Floating required to similar units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU as applicable \n
- \n
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) \n
- Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required \n
- ASN required, BSN preferred \n
- Level 1 Trauma experience required \n
- Epic charting experience required \n
- Skills in safety reporting, multidisciplinary collaboration, and precepting \n
- \n
- Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations \n
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care \n
- Modify care plans based on continuous patient evaluation \n
- Report and correct safety hazards and incidents as part of patient and employee safety responsibilities \n
- Precept staff from various units as needed \n
- Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed \n
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position \n
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract \n
