Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a day shift acute care hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active IL RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Acute care hospital setting on the Medical Surgical unit
\n
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
\n
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
\n
• Required to work every other weekend
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Floating required within service line and scope
\n
• Uses EPIC charting system
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active IL RN license required in hand at time of consideration
\n
• Current BLS certification required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
\n
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and cardiac monitoring
\n
• Experience with neurological/psychiatric and CVA patient care
\n
• Experience with respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
\n
• Experience with genitourinary/renal conditions including renal failure
\n
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
\n
• Experience responding with rapid response/code teams
\n

Additional Information\n

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg patients including respiratory, renal, and cardiac monitoring needs
\n
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed
\n
• Navy scrub color required
\n
• No parking costs at this facility
\n
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
\n
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed within the contract period, with no RTO permitted during the first week
\n
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
\n
• Prior permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility within this health system as a traveler
\n
• Travelers may work up to an 18-month period before requiring a 3-month break in service
\n
