\n Job Summary\n

SEARHC is seeking an experienced Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive infusion therapy and specialty medication administration while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience with chemotherapy/immunotherapy medications and strong infusion nursing skills.

Required Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Alaska RN License at the time of submission (Required)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of Immunotherapy/Chemotherapy specialty medication experience (Required)
\n
• BLS & ACLS required
\n
• Flu Vaccine required
\n
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
\n
• High School Diploma or GED
\n

Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Administer specialty IV medications, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hydration, and infusion therapies.
\n
• Assess, monitor, and document patient responses before, during, and after infusion treatments.
\n
• Maintain and manage PICC lines, central venous catheters (CVC), and other vascular access devices.
\n
• Coordinate infusion referrals, prior authorizations, scheduling, and continuity of care.
\n
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care.
\n
• Educate patients and families on infusion treatments and post-therapy care.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
\n
• Follow infection prevention, medication safety, and oncology/infusion nursing standards.
\n
• Assist with clinic workflow, staff guidance, and quality improvement initiatives.
\n

Skills & Experience\n

\n
• Experience with specialty infusion medications and vascular access devices.
\n
• Strong IV therapy, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced infusion setting.
\n
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
\n
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR).
\n

Important Information\n

\n
• Current Alaska RN License is required at the time of submission.
\n
• Flu Vaccine is required.
\n
• Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after SEARHC receives the traveler's fingerprint cards in Juneau.Travelers must complete fingerprinting and mail the cards within 2–3 days of acceptance to avoid delays.
