American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital position requiring inpatient case management experience and either travel or Epic experience.

- an acute care teaching hospital setting \n
- Case Management/Utilization Review department \n
- Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM \n
- Required to work every 4th weekend \n
- Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays \n
- Floating required within scope of practice as needed \n
- Uses Epic EMR system \n
- \n
- Active RN license (VA or Compact) required, pending licenses accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date \n
- Minimum 2 years of acute care inpatient case management experience required \n
- Epic EMR experience or previous travel nursing experience required \n
- BSN preferred \n
- BLS certification preferred \n
- Teaching hospital experience preferred \n
- Trauma Level I or Level II hospital experience preferred \n
- Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, disease management, needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care \n
- Medical-Surgical acute care specialty experience preferred \n

- Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per contract, with all time off disclosed at the time of consideration \n
- Any vacation time planned between offer acceptance and start date should be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date \n
- Specialty-specific orientation modules will be completed during onboarding \n
- Selected units maintain a 50-mile travel restriction limiting eligibility for local candidates \n
- Previous employment with the facility as permanent staff or an internal/external traveler requires a minimum 1-year separation period and leadership approval \n
- External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached \n
- Longer assignment lengths may be available \n
