Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a compact or OK RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

• Hospital-based Labor and Delivery (LDRPN) unit providing care to expectant mothers and newborns
\n
• Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
\n
• 13-week assignment length
\n
• Up to 6 weekend shifts required based on department needs
\n
• Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (Standard or Compact/OK) currently in hand
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
\n
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
\n
• NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) preferred
\n
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
\n
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
\n

Additional Information\n

• Provide direct nursing care including monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, pain management, and assisting with vaginal or surgical deliveries
\n
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
\n
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating changes in patient condition
\n
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
\n
• Educate families on postpartum recovery
\n
• Follow Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
\n
• Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate for local candidates
\n
• First-time travelers may be considered
