American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active AK RN license and at least 2 years of recent LDRP experience.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital setting in the OB/L&D unit \n
- Unit consists of 4 LDRP rooms and 5 Nursery/Postpartum beds \n
- Nurse-to-patient ratios follow national standards based on labor type and patient needs \n
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts \n
- On-call responsibilities as needed, following unit procedures \n
- Uses Meditech and OBIX charting systems along with Epic \n
- Utilizes Pyxis Supply Stations and bedside fetal monitoring equipment \n
- No floating to other units or departments required \n
- \n
- Active AK state RN license required \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience required \n
- Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and HS AED \n
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required \n
- COVID vaccine or declination form required for consideration \n
- BSN not required for this position \n

- Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and principles of primary nursing in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice \n
- Unit-specific orientation includes 3 days of Meditech and OBIX training \n
- Medication testing must be completed on-site within the first two weeks of starting \n
- Scrubs are provided by the facility \n
- Unvaccinated staff must wear masks per facility policy \n
- Local candidates will be accepted at the same rate \n
- Facility may cancel up to 24 hours within a 13-week contract with no penalty \n
- Previous employees with prior employment at this facility system must disclose this for a rehire eligibility check \n
