\n Number of Beds - 19
\n Number of Staff – 7 RNs
\n Type of staff:
\n o Day Shift – 1 charge RN & 6 RNs
\n o Night Shift – 1 charge RN & 6 RNs
\n Patient Ratios – 3:1
\n Type of equipment – bedside monitors, alaris IV pumps, heated humidity high flow O2, Bipap, chest tubes, tracheostomy, kangaroo feeding pumps, gastric tubes, surgical drains
\n EMR - EPIC
\n Typical hiring profile
\n Skill Set Most recruited for:
\n Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
\n 1 year of step-down ICU/IMC/PCU experience. This is a stepdown ICU unit.
\n 1 year of telemetry/cardiac monitoring experience
\n Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
\n Experience with trach patients requiring continuous BiPap/long term vent support
\n Experience with titratable drips including: dopamine, dobutamine, nitro, cardene, ketamine, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone
\n Experience with CIWA assessments and Alcohol/Drug withdrawal treatment
\n List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
\n Emergent cardioversion
\n Any procedures requiring moderate sedation will be performed in a procedural area
\n Best personality Fit:
\n Positive and team focused. Adaptable to quickly changing acuity and enjoy a busy, fast paced unit and high throughput to accommodate rapid responses, ED admissions, and ICU transfers.

\n BLS
\n NIH-SS

\n Cardiac surgery IMC, med-tele, med-surg, ortho-neuro
\n Dress Code:
\n Scrub Color/Attire - navy blue
\n Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
\n Physical assessments, intake, and output must be completed every 4 hours
\n Hourly safety rounds
\n Every two hour positioning and ADLs as indicated
\n Bedside handoff is mandatory
\n Weekends and On call(if any)
\n Every other weekend (alternatively 4 weekend shifts [Saturday/Sunday] per month
\n Delayed start is utilized rather than on call shifts if census is low
