Full-Time | 36 Hours per Week | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Rotating Weekends
Make a Difference Where Compassion Meets Community\nHelen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing, part of the University of Vermont Health Network – Porter Medical Center, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our overnight nursing team on a long-term care assisted living unit. Located in beautiful Middlebury, Vermont, Helen Porter provides skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care services in a warm, resident-centered environment focused on dignity, respect, and exceptional clinical care.

What You'll Do\nAs an RN or LPN on our overnight team, you will:

- Provide skilled nursing care to long-term care and assisted living residents \n
- Assess resident conditions and communicate changes appropriately \n
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders \n
- Monitor resident health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being \n
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record \n
- Collaborate with providers, therapists, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members \n
- Support residents and families with compassion, professionalism, and respect \n
- Serve as an advocate for resident-centered care and quality outcomes \n
- \n
- Current Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing \n
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience preferred \n
- \n
- Current Vermont Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing \n
- Long-term care, assisted living, or skilled nursing experience preferred \n
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills \n
- \n
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours \n
- Excellent teamwork and customer service skills \n
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-focused care \n
- Current BLS certification preferred \n
