\n · Concord, NC
\n · Licensed for 457 beds
\n · Level 3 Trauma
\n · Stroke center of Excellence
\n · Bariatric center of Excellence
\n · Chest Pain Center
\n · Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
\n Department Information:
\n · Census? Average patients/day? 51
\n · Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
\n · Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
\n Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
\n · Chronic diseases, CHF specialty area, Mental Health, Addiction Services for patients requiring 6 weeks of IV abx, COPD, DM, Wounds, Geriatric care
\n Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
\n · BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n Patient Ratios:
\n · RN: 1:4-6, acuity dependent – surge times could increase to 1:7-8
\n Skills required:
\n · General Med/Tele skillset: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.
\n Support within the Department:
\n · Nurse Manager, Administrative Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, staff RNs, CNA, Clinical Mentor, Rapid Response RN, House Supervisor
\n Technology/Equipment:
\n · EMR: EPIC
\n · Department specific Equipment: scales, GBS machine, transfer device, vein finder, EKG, crash cart, language interpreter, tele-medicine cart for online assessments of patients, doppler
\n Floating:
\n · Within region and scope of practice
\n Region 1
\n If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
\n Orientation (facility and unit):
\n · NEO
\n · 2 days departmental
\n Scheduling:
\n · Weekend rotation: every other
\n · No call required
\n · Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
\n · RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
\n · Shift times: 0700-1900 and 1900-0700
\n · Schedule cycle: 6-week schedules
