\n Adult Unit, ages 18-65 years. We treat patients with diverse types of mental
\n health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar
\n disorder, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnosis patients: detox
\n here on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute
\n patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).Years of Experience Required: 2
\n years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience.Skill
\n Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication
\n dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in the use of psychotropic
\n medications and side effects. Able to assume the role of charge nurse; able to
\n complete admissions and discharges. Competent in the use of IV pumps and care of
\n diabetic patients.Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1
\n RN to 7 or 8 patients.Patient
\n Population: Adult 18 to 65 years of age.Bed
\n Count: 30.EMR
\n (Charting System): EPIC.Floating
\n Required: Yes.Rotating
\n Shifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate, (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a). No
\n more than 2-3 shifts per time block and typically not for more than 1 or 2 time
\n blocks (4 week blocks). Nights position does not rotate.Certifications
\n Required: Active Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS.Additional
\n Information: AVADE training offered on-site as well as lead EKG
\n training. Knowledge of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health rules and
\n regulations. Rights of inpatient requirements related to restraint and
\n seclusion, legal statuses. Knowledge of laws pertaining to guardianship,
\n healthcare proxy (invoked vs confirmed) and court ordered Medication.
