What You'll TreatYou'll provide speech therapy services for patients with a variety of conditions, including:
- Stroke and neurological disorders
- Cognitive-communication impairments
- Speech and language disorders
- Dysphagia (swallowing disorders)
- Voice disorders
- Post-surgical rehabilitation
- General medical conditions
As a Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll help patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing while supporting safe, independent living at home.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment strategies and home programs
- Document care using EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case managers
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on functional outcomes
QualificationsRequired
- Graduate of a CAA-accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Current Maryland Speech-Language Pathology license (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Experience with EMR documentation
- One year of home health experience
- Inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience
- Ability to work independently while managing a mobile caseload
