Key Responsibilities\n

\n
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
\n
• Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self and others under their direction.
\n
• Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess patient data and plan, provide, and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
\n
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring data and respond appropriately to findings.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes in a high-volume L&D environment.
\n

Required Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent, high-volume Labor & Delivery experience required.
\n
• Active Maryland RN license (license verification must be less than 30 days old).
\n
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
\n
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification.
\n
• Active Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification, or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer.
\n
• Active NIH Stroke Scale/Score (NIHSS) certification, or willingness to obtain within 48 hours of offer.
\n
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
\n
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted and must be a state record.
\n
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions.
\n

Preferred Experience / Skills\n

\n
• Experience working in a high-volume, acute care Labor & Delivery setting.
\n
• Familiarity with high-acuity obstetric patient populations and associated clinical protocols.
\n
