Machine Operator | Temp-to-Hire

Greater St. Louis Area (Illinois Side of the River)

URGENT HIRING NEED - INTERVIEWING NOW

A growing manufacturing facility in the Greater St. Louis area is seeking experienced and motivated Machine Operators for a long-term Temp-to-Hire opportunity. This is a career-track position for individuals who enjoy working with production equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Pay & Advancement

• Starting Rate: $22.00/hour
• After Qualification/Card Certification: $23.00/hour
• Permanent Employment Rate: Approximately $25.63/hour
• Temp-to-hire opportunity with a pathway to permanent employment after approximately 600+ successful hours worked

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Keep production lines running efficiently
• Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks
• Troubleshoot routine production issues
• Complete quality inspections throughout the shift
• Enter production and weight data accurately into computer systems
• Maintain accurate production and documentation records
• Follow cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and preventative maintenance procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist with training new team members when needed
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards
• Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
• Strong computer skills required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds
• Willingness to cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment
• Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance

Schedule

Day Shift

• Monday through Thursday
• 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Overnight Shift

• Monday through Thursday
• 7:45 PM - 6:30 AM

Overtime Expectations

• Four 10-hour shifts each week
• Daily overtime may be required based on production needs
• Friday overtime may be scheduled
• Occasional extended shifts may be required
• Shift flexibility is expected
• Overtime opportunities may be communicated with short notice

• Non-air-conditioned production areas

• Standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motion throughout shifts
