Dry Kiln Foreman

The Kiln Foreman(s) are responsible for daily oversight of lumber dry kilns and thermal modification kilns. This position has approximately 3 employees reporting to it currently. Forklift OSHA certification is required. PPE is required (steel toe boots, safety glasses.)

Berg Reinvigorations is a custom sawmill located in Southeast Kansas near Tulsa, OK. We focus on special timber beams, vacuum dried timber beams and dimensional as well as conventional dried dimensional softwood and hardwood lumber goods. Current specialized focus is on environmentally friendly high fire retarded Thermally Modified Ash lumber and millwork.

This position and related team members assist on millwork and machine planing operations when no kilns require turning or changeover. Work weeks typically consist of 40-45 hr weeks. One Saturday per month minimally required although flexible days can be taken off during said week of Saturday shift. After waiting period is cleared position carries medical and dental insurance with BCBS of KS; group life layered policies, short and long term disability as well as PTO and Paid Sick leave policies. While previous experience is preferred onsite kiln foreman(s) are available and willing to train for the role to qualified candidates.
