OBJECTIVE:

• The newly hired fence installer will work as part of a team to provide clients with a high-quality product and excellent customer service. They will be required to complete projects within budget and according to the expected timeframe
• The qualified individual should be punctual, with the flexibility and awareness to begin work earlier than usual when required to do so to complete jobs on time. They should have good communication skills and treat clients, and their properties, with the highest degree of respect. They will be required to conduct themselves professionally whenever they are clocked in and representing the company. They should be comfortable working under pressure

 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely use small hand tools like: circular saws, reciprocating saws, drills, jack hammers, etc.
• Work outside, under reasonable weather conditions for 8 hours
• Employees must be able to lift 60lb throughout the working day
• Work as a team and take instruction from the lead installer
• The ability to do precise calculations for post spacing
• The ability and driving record to operate medium duty work trucks
• Perform the laborious tasks associated with fence construction - demolishing old fences and loading dump vehicles, digging holes, hauling soil, hauling materials, mixing concrete, removal of concrete footings
• Perform the skilled functions associated with fence construction - setting posts, establishing levels, establishing fence heights, fence framing, securing boards
• The ability to perform dump runs efficiently
• They should be self-motivated, with the ability to keep working while the crew lead is off site

The skills and experience of the qualified individual could include, but are not required:

• A minimum of 2 - 4 years of fence installation experience in wood construction
• Bilingual English and Spanish
• The ability to drive with a trailer
• Plan a fence installation from start to completion
• Fence installation in chain link and other metal fencing
• Welding and metal fabrication
