Location: Tulsa, OK

We are seeking a Plant Accounting Manager to play a key role in the accounting and financial operations of a manufacturing facility. This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for cost accounting, inventory valuation, month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing accounting background and enjoy partnering with operations to improve financial performance and support plant leadership. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cost Accountant looking to grow into broader financial operations leadership.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three days onsite each week to support plant operations and physical inventory activities.
What You'll Do:
- Own key accounting functions supporting the financial operations of a manufacturing facility.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Partner closely with production and plant leadership to improve financial accuracy, inventory controls, and operational performance.
- Support physical inventory activities and ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to improve manufacturing and accounting efficiency.
- Prepare and review month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Participate in financial statement preparation and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
Required:
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both accounting and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring an accounting team.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Experience partnering closely with production or operations teams.
- Demonstrated interest in process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
