BBSI is looking for an EXPERIENCED YARD DRIVER for a FULL-TIME & TEMP-TO-HIRE role at a large distribution center in Whittier, California!

***General Labor, EPJ, and Cherry Picker experience is a must***

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday, must be open to weekends during busy seasons
• 3:00pm- 11:30pm, OT after 8th hours(depending on workload)

Pay: $22.75/hour

Majority of position will be in warehouse with only about 20% in Yard.

Job Title: Yard Driver

Who you are:

Your role:

This individual is responsible for keeping track of trailer movement and resolving all discrepancies. This individual must be detail oriented and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Accurately track and record all incoming and outgoing trailers moves from the yard auditor

· Direct movement of trailers to dock doors and to the yard for pickup

· Accurately keep track of all trailer movements that are given daily

· Ensure that all loaded equipment are safely secure at the end of each shift

· Reconciliation of all discrepancies in the yard

· Constant communication with the Guard services and Yard auditor

· Communicate with the yard auditor on all trailer move exceptions

· Ensure that all trailers and containers have chocks on the outside

· All unsafe situations are reported as they occur

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push and or pull up to 50 lbs. and ability to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours.

We’re excited about you if you have:

· Minimum of one-year experience including warehouse/distribution and use of RF Scanner.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills to all levels of Management.

· Ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to work overtime as needed. Overtime may be prior to and/or after scheduled work hours.
