Job Description
This role focuses on welding steel frames using flux core and stick welding techniques, ensuring strong, accurate, and high-quality welds across flat positions and supporting fabrication activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Weld steel frames using flux core welding processes in flat positions with consistent quality and precision.
- Perform stick welding on various steel components, following project specifications and safety standards.
- Interpret basic instructions or fabrication requirements to complete welds according to design needs.
- Inspect welds for structural integrity, accuracy, and appearance, and make adjustments or repairs as required.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues or defects promptly.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment while welding and fabricating.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure welded components meet project timelines and quality expectations.
Essential Skills
- Proven ability to weld steel frames using flux core welding techniques.
- Hands-on experience with stick welding on steel components.
- Practical knowledge of fabrication processes related to welded structures.
- Ability to weld in flat positions with consistent quality and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic welding safety practices and proper use of protective equipment.
