Job Title: Litigation Paralegal Location: Portland, Oregon Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in-office/3 remote after 30-day training); 37.5 hour work week Salary: $90,000-$115,000 DOE Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a highly regarded litigation boutique seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex, high-stakes civil disputes. This position is ideal for a skilled and motivated paralegal who can take ownership of cases, manage substantial discovery projects, and provide comprehensive support throughout all stages of litigation. The practice includes environmental litigation, though prior experience in this area is not required. Candidates with a strong complex civil litigation background are encouraged to apply. The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
- Provide substantive paralegal support throughout all phases of complex civil litigation
- Manage large-scale discovery projects, including document collection, review, organization, and production
- Draft and coordinate discovery requests and responses
- Review and code documents for responsiveness, confidentiality, and privilege
- Maintain case information and document collections across multiple litigation databases
- Assist attorneys with deposition, hearing, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and support the organization of expert materials
- Proofread, cite-check, and finalize briefs, pleadings, and other court filings
- Organize case strategy materials, exhibits, chronologies, and key evidence
- Track deadlines and proactively communicate case updates and outstanding tasks
- Help manage matters independently while remaining responsive to attorneys, clients, and colleagues
- Five or more years of paralegal experience supporting complex civil litigation in the state of Oregon
- Strong understanding of discovery procedures and the litigation lifecycle
- Experience managing and reviewing large volumes of electronically stored information
- Proficiency with document review platforms, litigation databases, and related legal technology
- Demonstrated ability to identify and code privileged material accurately
- Experience supporting environmental litigation involving CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, or water rights is a plus
- Excellent proofreading, cite-checking, organizational, and time-management skills
- Resourceful and proactive approach with the ability to anticipate case needs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Responsive, collaborative, and comfortable receiving feedback and continuing to learn
- Ability to manage competing priorities and take meaningful ownership of assigned matters
