Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist/Analyst to support an onsite team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role will focus on benefits administration, employee leave support, workplace accommodations, and regulatory compliance while helping strengthen the overall employee experience. The role also partners closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and HR team members to improve processes, reporting, and program effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily administration of health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs, ensuring employees receive accurate and timely support.
• Act as the lead resource for complex leave matters, including family and medical leave, disability, military leave, and other protected absences.
• Manage workplace accommodation cases through the interactive process, documenting requests, coordinating reviews, and supporting compliant resolutions.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, including planning timelines, preparing materials, and assisting employees with benefit selections.
• Maintain strong partnerships with external benefit providers, address escalated service concerns, and assist with renewals and contract-related follow-up.
• Review benefit invoices, monitor program costs, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts through careful financial tracking.
• Perform audits and data analysis to identify discrepancies, improve reporting accuracy, and support informed decision-making.
• Create and update policies, procedures, employee communications, and training resources related to benefits and leave administration.
• Advise employees, managers, and HR colleagues on benefit programs, leave processes, and policy interpretation with professionalism and confidentiality.
• At least 5 years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, HR operations, or a closely related human resources function.• Demonstrated knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, ACA reporting, ADA accommodations, and other applicable federal and state employment regulations.
• Hands-on experience handling sensitive and complex employee leave or accommodation cases with sound judgment and discretion.
• Background working with HRIS platforms and benefits systems; experience with PeopleSoft, NeoGov, or similar tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data, review invoices, conduct audits, and support reporting needs.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain policies and processes to employees, leaders, vendors, and HR partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
