As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for applying powder coat material onto metal parts using a powder coating gun. The role requires versatility in reaching parts that are hung at various heights, ranging from 5 feet in the air to 8 inches off the ground. You will need to stand, crouch, and bend consistently to ensure the entire part is properly coated. Your duties will also include general labor and assembly tasks, requiring you to read tape measures and blueprints accurately.
Responsibilities
- Utilize a powder coating gun to apply powder coat material onto metal parts.
- Manage parts that are hung between 5 feet in the air to 8 inches off the ground.
- Stand, crouch, and bend consistently while using the powder coat gun.
- Read and interpret tape measures and blueprints.
- Perform general labor and assembly tasks.
Essential Skills
- Experience in assembly and mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- 6+ months of experience in a production environment.
- Ability to consistently stand, crouch, and bend.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Independent worker with 6+ months of experience as a technician or service technician.
- Experience as a farm hand or machine operator for at least 6 months.
- Familiarity with working on sheet metal machines.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean job shop dedicated to metal fabrication, located in a brand new building south of Lincoln. The hours are 6 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. The team consists of 17 members, though you will primarily work independently in the assembly department.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
