Job Title: Production Worker (2nd & 3rd SHIFT)

Job Description

This role involves working on a fast-paced production line to load, unload, assemble, and inspect parts while maintaining quality and efficiency. You will handle materials, support shipping activities, and use basic tools and equipment to ensure products meet specification and are ready for delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts from the production line while maintaining a steady workflow.
  • Inspect parts for defects and ensure they meet established quality and specification standards.
  • Assemble parts according to each part’s specification using hand tools while keeping up with the speed of the moving production line.
  • Perform daily inventory audits and reconcile electronic transactions accurately.
  • Identify and mark defective parts for rework and place them in designated rework areas.
  • Place finished parts into shipping racks in an organized and accurate manner for shipment to customers.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as sit-down forklifts, to move products and materials safely as needed.
  • Use RF scanners to track inventory, verify orders, and support shipping and receiving activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on the production floor.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to maintain smooth production operations.
  • Work overtime as needed to support production demands and meet customer requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with material handling in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Experience working on an assembly line or in a fast-paced manufacturing setting is a plus.
  • Ability to use hand tools to assemble parts according to specifications.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate sit-down forklifts safely.
  • Ability to use RF scanners for inventory and shipping tasks.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Comfort working in a high-paced environment with a large number of coworkers.
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and performing inventory audits.
  • Reliability and consistent attendance across assigned shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics environments.
  • Prior use of electronic inventory systems or warehouse management systems.
  • Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and production equipment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with a large workforce.
  • Willingness to work any of the available shifts as business needs require.

Work Environment

This is a high-paced production environment with approximately 1,500 employees on site, offering constant interaction with coworkers and teamwork-focused operations. The facility is moderately climate controlled, so temperatures are more comfortable than outdoor conditions but may vary with the seasons. Multiple shifts are available, including 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), with the 3rd shift schedule running Sunday through Thursday nights. You will work on and around production lines, use hand tools, and handle materials with RF scanners in a busy, team-oriented setting. Dress is typical for a manufacturing environment, focusing on safety and practicality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.41 - $18.91/hr.
