Ready to make a meaningful impact in young students’ lives? A full-time contract opportunity is now available for a passionate Special Education Teacher working with 3rd and 4th grade students. In this role, you’ll provide critical support and tailored instruction for a caseload of 15-20 students, helping each child reach their true academic and social potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Prior experience teaching at the elementary level, especially grades 3 or 4
- In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong ability to modify curriculum and differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective, individualized lessons for a group of 15-20 students in grades 3 and 4
- Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and specialists
- Track student progress toward educational goals and communicate updates regularly
- Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted academic/behavioral interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Support a positive classroom climate where every student feels empowered and respected
