Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in a dynamic elementary setting, working as a Special Education Teacher with a passionate focus on supporting 3rd and 4th graders. This full-time contract role is designed for educators who are dedicated to fostering an inclusive learning environment and empowering students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience with elementary-aged students, especially in 3rd and 4th grade
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, parents, and support personnel
- Expertise in IEP development and compliance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and case management to a caseload of 15-20 students in 3rd and 4th grade
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
- Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate various abilities and learning styles
- Administer assessments, track progress, and maintain thorough documentation
- Partner closely with fellow educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
