4th Grade 3rd Grade Special Education Teacher | Milton, Vermont

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Proven experience with elementary-aged students, especially in 3rd and 4th grade
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, parents, and support personnel
• Expertise in IEP development and compliance
• Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and case management to a caseload of 15-20 students in 3rd and 4th grade
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals
• Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate various abilities and learning styles
• Administer assessments, track progress, and maintain thorough documentation
• Partner closely with fellow educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement and well-being
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
