American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 3+ years of OR experience across multiple surgical specialties and a MO or compact RN license.
Details\n- \n
- small critical access community hospital setting in the Operating Room unit \n
- Handles approximately 100 low acuity cases per month, including 1-2 C-sections monthly \n
- Day shift schedule of 5x8 hours (7:00 AM-3:30 PM), though may flex to 4x10s depending on OR schedule \n
- Weekend coverage required approximately once every 3 weeks (Fri-Sun) \n
- On-call required about 10 shifts per month, scheduled in pairs, with a minimum 1-hour callback time \n
- Floating required across Circulate, PACU, and Pre/Post Op areas as staffing needs dictate \n
- Uses Meditech EMR system \n
- \n
- Active MO or compact RN license required \n
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (CNOR preferred) \n
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required in OR, Circulate, PACU, and Pre/Post Op settings \n
- Community hospital experience required \n
- Experience required in Endoscopic, General Surgery, Gynecology (including C-Sections), Orthopedic, Podiatry, Urology, and Pediatric ENT/Endoscopic/General Surgery procedures \n
- Experience with emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia \n
- Proficiency with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Steris equipment \n
- Skilled in blood/blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, specimen handling, peripheral IV starts, Universal Protocol (time out) procedures, urinary catheterization, and wound management \n
- ENT experience (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy) preferred \n
- \n
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced OR environment \n
- Will float between different units based on facility needs rather than remaining in one fixed area \n
- Blue scrub color required for this unit \n
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate with no radius restriction \n
