Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Level III/IV NICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring NC or compact licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the NICU (Level III and/or Level IV) of a hospital setting
\n
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00) with option to flex to a 4th shift if needed
\n
• Minimum requirement of working every other weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun)
\n
• Overtime applies after 48 hours
\n
• Blocked schedule requests will be considered
\n
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:4
\n
• Uses Meditech EMR system (charting experience preferred but not required)
\n
• Candidates will float within the hospital
\n
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NC State or Compact RN license required
\n
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, and PALS
\n
• STABLE certification required
\n
• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience required
\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required
\n
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
\n
• Respiratory and ventilator management skills required (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
\n
• Two professional references required for consideration
\n
• Current NURSYS report required
\n
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
\n

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a NICU setting
\n
• Facility does not allow current or former staff to return as travelers at any time
\n
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to travel experience requirement
