Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position requiring 2-3 years of RN experience and NH or compact licensure.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the Medical/Surgical unit of a hospital setting
\n
• Care for patients with diagnoses including post-op general surgery (hernia repair, resections, cholecystectomy, some amputations), afib, CHF, COPD, withdrawal (CIWA), and rule-out sepsis
\n
• 12-hour night shift schedule (7p-7a)
\n
• Floating required, including to the Geri-Psych unit as Helping Hands support (no behavioral health experience needed)
\n
• No on-call responsibilities
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand
\n
• 2-3 years of RN experience required
\n
• Telemetry experience preferred
\n
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV starts, and EKGs required
\n
• Must be flexible and adaptable to unit needs
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide direct medical/surgical nursing care and perform related clinical procedures as needed
\n
• Local candidates accepted with a reduced rate applied for those living within 50-100 miles of the facility
