American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an outpatient imaging setting, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT certification.
Details\n- \n
- Outpatient imaging facility setting \n
- MRI Tech unit \n
- Daily caseload of 10-15 patients \n
- Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM \n
- Rotating Saturday shifts approximately once every couple of months \n
- On-call as needed \n
- No floating to sister facilities required \n
- Epic EMR used for charting \n
- Caribbean blue scrub color \n
- \n
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Tech experience required \n
- BLS and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred \n
- VA license required in hand at time of submission; temporary license not accepted (license required if applicable) \n
- Community hospital experience required \n
- Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred \n
- PACS and contrast media administration skills required \n
- Experience starting peripheral IVs required \n
- MRI procedure experience required in head/neck, abdomen/pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging \n
- Experience with diffusion, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted images required \n
- Philips equipment experience preferred \n
- Epic charting system experience preferred \n
- Philips iSite PACS and Care Logistics software experience preferred \n
- \n
- Performs a wide range of MRI procedures including abdominal MRA/MRV, MRCP, chest, breast, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging \n
- Conducts special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion studies, perfusion, spectroscopy, and peripheral MRA \n
- Responsible for preparation and administration of contrast media \n
- First-time travelers accepted \n
- Locals accepted at the same pay rate \n
- No local radius restriction \n
- RTO requests subject to manager's discretion \n
- Travelers may float within the facility or nearby affiliated facilities based on census and volume needs \n
- Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within one week of signing \n
- Previous employees must have a 1-year separation before returning to this healthcare system \n
