Travelers Pay: 
\n Taxable Amount - $40.5/hr on W2
\n Lodging Stipend - $700 weekly
\n Meals Stipend - $542 weekly
\n Weekly Gross - $2,700 weekly including stipend for 36 hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
\n Position - RN-Intermediate Care Unit
\n Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502
\n Duration - 13 weeks contract
\n Day Shift - 6:30 am to 7 pm

\n

Weekly Gross - 36 hours 
\n Floating Required: Yes

Unit Specifics: 

\n

Common Diagnosis  Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Resp: COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, post op. Specialty Equipment-Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, Neptune Vapo 

\n

Vents: Yes-chronic vents -unable to wean- RT to assist 

\n

Patient Demographics: 18 years - Adults 

\n

Number of Beds in the Unit: 64 beds / 15 designated Neuro beds

\n

 

\n

RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical conditions.
\n Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, including cardiac telemetry rhythms and vital signs.
\n Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
\n Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team.
\n Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
\n Perform wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.
\n Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
\n Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
\n Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid response situations, and provide high-quality patient-centered care.
\n Ensure infection prevention, fall prevention, and quality improvement initiatives are consistently followed.

REQUIREMENT:
\n 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU - Required

\n

AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Rquired

\n \n

Candidate less than 75 miles will be considered as local.
