RN - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule / Job Type\nContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 12-Hour Shifts)
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide direct post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural sedation \n
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness in the immediate post-operative period \n
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered, responding promptly to changes in patient condition \n
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe patient transitions \n
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and progress accurately in accordance with facility protocols \n
- \n
- Active Kansas RN license or multistate compact RN license \n
- Current AHA BLS certification (AHA only accepted) \n
- Current AHA ACLS certification (AHA only accepted) \n
- Minimum of 3 years of PACU nursing experience \n
- Must have successfully completed a minimum of 2 prior travel nursing contracts \n
- Must reside more than 45 miles from the facility \n

- Experience working in a high-acuity or fast-paced post-anesthesia care setting \n
- Familiarity with travel nursing compliance processes including drug screening requirements \n
- \n
