Allison Audiology is seeking a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist who enjoys working closely with patients and being part of a collaborative clinical team. Unlike many HIS positions, this role is not centered on independent patient management or hearing aid sales. Instead, the Hearing Instrument Specialist partners closely with the Audiologist, providing patient support, device programming, follow-up care, and education while helping ensure a seamless patient experience.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building long-term patient relationships, providing ongoing hearing healthcare support, and working as part of a collaborative clinical team.

Scope of Practice:
  • Support the Audiologist in delivering hearing healthcare to adult patients.
  • Perform hearing aid cleanings, maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine programming adjustments.
  • Assist with hearing aid fittings, orientations, and follow-up appointments.
  • Counsel patients on hearing aid use, care, and realistic expectations.
  • Take ear impressions as appropriate.
  • Coordinate hearing aid repairs and manufacturer warranty services.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with continuity of patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Current Texas Hearing Instrument Specialist license
  • Experience working with hearing aid technology and patient follow-up care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary plus bonus potential $85,000–$95,000
