Job Description:

Maya Homecare is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide care for a 94-year-old woman with dementia in Ringoes, NJ. This position offers 16 hours per week, with shifts from 9 AM to 1 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene
• Provide medication reminders (she frequently asks if she’s taken her medication)
• Prepare and assist with lunch
• Offer general companionship and support
• Ensure safety and provide mobility assistance as needed (she uses a cane)

Requirements:

• Valid CHHA certification in the state of New Jersey
• must be a female 
• Experience working with elderly patients, particularly those with dementia
• Compassionate, reliable, and attentive to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Must be able to provide medication reminders and assist with daily living activities

About the Family: The client lives with her son and other family members. While the family is present, the client requires assistance with daily tasks. The ideal candidate will have a caring, professional attitude and be able to provide high-quality care in a home setting.
