Speech Therapist

This position is for a skilled nursing facility under new ownership in Houston. Golfcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation has both short-term and long-term patients. This facility has an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads with an emphasis on optimizing time with patients.

Speech Therapist Job Responsibilities:  

• Develop and implement a Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients. 

• Assist as needed with patient screens for Speech Therapy.  

• Communicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.  

• Complete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.  

• Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.  

• Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.  

• Maintain productivity standards as expected by Director of Rehab or Administrator.  

Schedule: Full-time 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Current Texas licensure as an SLP is required
