About the Role:
The Research and Development Technician plays a critical role in supporting the innovation and advancement of new products and technologies within the organization. This position involves conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting engineers and scientists in the development process to ensure that projects meet quality and performance standards. The technician will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing materials, and documenting all procedures and results accurately. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to translate research findings into practical applications and improvements. Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical field such as chemistry, biology, engineering technology, or related discipline.
- Experience working in a laboratory or research environment with hands-on technical skills.
- Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of data collection, analysis, and documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
- Experience with specialized analytical instruments such as spectrometers, chromatographs, or microscopy equipment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Previous experience supporting product development or industrial research projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols to support research and development projects.
- Prepare and maintain samples, materials, and equipment necessary for testing and experimentation.
- Record, analyze, and report experimental data accurately to assist in the evaluation of product performance and development.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize research processes.
- Assist in the development and documentation of new testing methods and procedures.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions as needed.
