Job Summary:

As a top-ranked Skilled Nursing Facility, Okeechobee SNF Operations, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will diagnose and treat speech and language problems, evaluate speech and language skills, and develop treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency in individuals with communication problems. Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents/patients who have been referred by their physicians with a written order and develop a treatment program including functional long- and short-term goals.
• Provide treatment as ordered by the attending physician and periodically review the resident's/patient's program and response.
• Contact the physician for resident's/patient's reports and care as needed and observe, record, and report to the physician the resident's/patient's reactions to the therapy programs.
• Instruct, teach, and supervise residents/patients, and family/caregivers, regarding Speech therapy procedures as related to the resident's/patient's therapy programs.
• Participate in staff development activities, in-service education programs, and supervise CFYs as per the guidelines set forth by ASHA.
• Adhere to all applicable federal, state, local, facility, and company standards of care and ethics and policies concerned with the practice of Speech therapy.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current state licensure
• Current CPR certification

Additional Requirements:

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening in accordance with state regulations.
