Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients within the Operating Room setting at an acute care hospital
• Float between the Main OR and Outpatient Surgery Center as needed to meet unit demands
• Participate in an on-call rotation, including weekend and holiday call coverage (estimated 70–90 hours per 6-week period, shared among staff)
• Commit to working at least every other weekend, with the possibility of additional weekends to accommodate unit needs
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using the facility's electronic health record system
• Adhere to all facility policies, compliance requirements, and float obligations within the assigned region

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience (hard requirement; no exceptions)
• Active, unencumbered California RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• BCLS certification required
• Must be available for on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• No first-time travel nurses; prior travel or comparable experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of OR experience, including a broad range of surgical procedures
• Experience with Epic electronic health records strongly preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Proficiency in both scrub and circulator roles across all OR skill sets preferred
