We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse leader who is ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact on residents, families, and the nursing team.

As our Unit Manager – RN, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations, developing nursing staff, promoting quality outcomes, and ensuring residents receive compassionate, safe, and individualized care.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day nursing operations of your assigned unit.

  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop nurses and nursing support staff.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, assignments, and follow-through on patient care.

  • Promote a culture of compassion, accountability, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

  • Partner with residents and families to address concerns, establish care goals, and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Monitor quality of care, clinical outcomes, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure nursing practices align with state and federal regulations, professional standards, and company policies.

  • Support infection prevention and control, medication management, and patient safety initiatives.

  • Participate in and contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.

  • Conduct staff coaching, performance management, education, and competency development.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapy, dietary, social services, administration, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

  • Monitor supplies, equipment, and resources to support efficient unit operations.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.

  • Assist with budgeting, staffing efficiency, and operational goals.

  • Serve as a strong clinical resource and advocate for residents and their families.

  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing regulations, clinical best practices, and long-term care standards.

Qualifications
  • Current, active RN license in the state of employment.

  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in a hospital, skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, or other healthcare setting.

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, clinical standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.

  • Basic computer and electronic documentation skills.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

  • Previous Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility experience.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance, survey readiness, staff development, and QAPI.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Work Environment

This is an active leadership position within a healthcare environment. The Unit Manager regularly walks throughout the care center and interacts with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.

The role may involve extended hours, weekends, holidays, and responding to facility needs during emergency situations.

The position requires the ability to perform the physical demands associated with a nursing leadership role, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, and assisting with patient-related activities as required.
