Infection Control & Clinical Education RN

Prestige Care Center of Fairfield seeks a compassionate individual for the role of Infection Prevention and Skin Care to join our nurse managment team.  Prestige of Fairfield is a 73 bed skilled nursing facility in Fairfield, Iowa. Working closely with the DON this position will take the lead on overseeing the Infection Prevention Practices and skin care wound assessments. 

• performing assessments
• plan, develop, implement and oversee the infection prevention and control programs
• ensure that the facility is in compliance with current regulations concerning infection prevention and control
• recommending changes regarding resident care plans
• participate in care plans
• weekly evaluation of resident skin issues
• assure documentation is complete and consistent with care and reflects legal requirements
• collaborate with leadership in follow-up of concerns expressed by patients, families and physicians
• RN preferred.

• The qualified candidate will possess Infection Preventalist Certification or be willing to take the training within 6 mos of hire, have a valid RN or LPN in the state of Iowa, be proficient on a computer, and possess an excellent understanding of government regulations impacting admissions and resident stays.
