Coordinate and oversee engaging, person-centered memory care programming
Ensure programs comply with company standards and state and federal regulations
Plan daily activities and coordinate assignments for staff, volunteers, and entertainers
Complete required documentation and maintain compliance
Organize special events, family gatherings, educational programs, and holiday celebrations
Serve as a resource for residents, families, and staff regarding Alzheimer's disease and dementia care
Assist with dementia-focused education and training for team members
Communicate with families regarding resident participation, successes, and changing needs
Observe and report changes in resident behavior or condition to the nursing team
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department planning
Support Alzheimer's awareness and community outreach efforts
Assist residents as needed to ensure a safe, engaging, and meaningful environment
Perform other duties as assigned by facility leadership
Experience working with seniors or individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care is strongly preferred
Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, recreation, activities, or a related field is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Education, Social Work, Recreation Therapy, or a related field is preferred, but not required
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Detail-oriented and comfortable with documentation and computer systems
Compassionate, dependable, creative, and team-oriented
Passion for enhancing the quality of life for older adults
